You may not be able to make it to Kentucky, but you can wear giant hats and drink mint juleps right here this weekend! Here's the six best parties going on Saturday, May 7 where you can watch the Kentucky Derby and have a galloping good time (just sober up for Mother's Day).

Brooklyn Derby at Greenwood Park, Brooklyn
555 Seventh Ave, 4pm, $75
Waltz into Greenwood Park like you’re Southern royalty at this celebration of the Kentucky Derby. Toast to your favorite pony with a mint julep in hand, stitch together an epic headwear creation at the DIY hat station, and show off your best two-step while you rock to live music. Remember: When it comes to hats, there’s no such thing as too much.

The 142nd Kentucky Derby Party at The Bell House, Brooklyn
149 7th St, 2pm, $8, at the door $10
Watch thoroughbreds compete as the Bell House holds its annual Derby Day bash. Bonnet-wearing ladies and seersucker-clad lads can sip mint juleps ($6), learn to square-dance and enjoy live music from the Hungry March Band. And don’t miss the most exciting two minutes in sports—the horses are off at 5pm.

The Harlem Derby at the Harlem Haberdashery
245 Lenox Ave, 4–9pm, free
Wear your derby best to this fancy affair. The Harlem Haberdashery celebrates their fourth anniversary with a viewing party (and cocktails) at 4pm and a formal reception at 6pm.

Kentucky Derby Open Bar Party at Hudson Hotel
358 W 58th St, 4pm, $39
Enjoy a three-hour open bar with craft juleps, roll your own cigars and play carnival games before you watch the big race.

Derby Day Party at Saxon +Parole
316 Bowey, 3–7pm, $90
Put on that seersucker suit and head to the terrace to sip on unlimited juleps, rose and beer, as well as small bites and a giant oyster and seafood tower. Once you've knocked a few down, celebrate your horse winning by dancing along with the live bluegrass band.

The 142nd Kentucky Derby at Union Hall, Brooklyn
702 Union St, 2pm, free
Day drink to your heart's content at this celebration. Races will be shown from 2pm on, with the main event at 6pm, plys juleps and whiskey cocktails, corn-hole, bocce ball and giveaways all day long. Best hat and best suit both win $100!
