Get down with ska and soul from Lake Street Dive and Kitty, Daisy & Lewis
Since performing music from Inside Llewyn Davis and becoming favorites on the Colbert Report, Lake Street Dive has been on a roll. They join former Coldplay opener Kitty, Daisy & Lewis for a banging set that will make you wish it was already Labor Day. Before SummerStage concludes this year, catch one of the last awesome free outdoor concerts. Central Park, Rumsey Playfield; 6-10pm; free

Luck out on free dinner and dancing at the Bailout Theater
Gather 'round the community table at this free monthly event where volunteers provide potluck-dinner and local artists share dance pieces, spoken word and musical sessions. That's right, it's all free, just bring your eyes, ears, and empty stomach! Judson Memorial Church; 7-10pm; free

Celebrate hump day at this club-dance party: Roots
"Little" Louie Vega and DJ Kevin Hedge have pioneered the house music scene in New York, and have been running this beloved dance party at Cielo for the last decade. Their fusion of Afrobeat and Hip Hop reflects on the dance floor, attracting rambunctious crowds from all over the city every week. Arrive before 11pm for free admission and an hour-long open vodka bar before the show. Cielo, 18 Little W 12th St; 10pm; $20, before 11pm free
