Itching to get an invite to one of the most magical and exclusive summer parties in New York? Dîner en Blanc—NYC’s pièce de résistance of outdoor picnics—draws 5,000 people wearing head-to-toe white garb to a top secret location in New York for one of the most slammin’ outdoor picnics and dance parties of the year.

Aside from the all-white dress code, the French-born soiree comes with a slew of other must-abide-by rules in order for the extravagant affair to function (read our guide above for more details.) But the most important thing for you to note right now is that this year’s event will be held on Tuesday, August 22, and Phase I registration for the party begins Monday, August 7

Participation for the event occurs in three stages (we told you it was exclusive): Phase I registration is for members who attended the previous year; Phase II registration is for new members who are referred by Phase I attendees; and Phase III is for folks who sign up to be put on the waiting list. Click the registration link here for more information.

Once you're approved, start planning an impressive outfit and an immaculate table setting (yes, you must bring your own plates and cutlery) for the bash. And don't forget to order your picnic basket curated by celebrity chef Todd English and your booze provided by Kenwood Vineyards and Canard-Duchêne Champagne.

If you want to know exactly what goes down at this Instagram nirvana, take a look at what happens when you attend Dîner en Blanc. (Last year's even took place at Robert Wagner Jr. Park in Battery Park City.)
