If you weren’t hungry before reading our new issue, you certainly will be once you’re done. This week, we’ve got six full pages devoted to juicy, artery-clogging glory of NYC. We give you the insider scoop on where to eat the five best cuts of beef (prime rib, cote de boeuf, chateaubriand, veal chop and porterhouse), and even round up the places exotic eaters can find kangaroo, boar, rattlesnake and more. Plus, Food and Drink Editor Christina Izzo shadows her father, a butcher in Gerritsen Beach, Brooklyn, to try out the family business, and we even persuade a vegetarian to take his first bite of meat in ten years. His favorite meaty morsel, after six rounds of tasting? A burger, of course.

This week we also catch up with writer-director Noah Baumbach about his latest comedy, While We’re Young, which opens Friday, and hear about his five favorite NYC films (all made before 1993).

Elsewhere in the magazine, we list the top five things to do at Coney Island’s Luna Park, which opens for the season this Sunday (hopefully that means spring is finally here!). Plus, we take a look at four top-notch chefs opening outposts in Jersey City (yes, really), explore the New Museum’s 2015 Triennial, and survey the new food-and-drink scene taking over Ridgewood, Queens.

So what are you waiting for, New York? Go out and eat some meat.
