Alexander Maksik: A Marker to Measure Drift

Maksik's first novel (You Deserve Nothing), about a teacher's seduction of an underage pupil in Paris, has been regularly sighted on the subway. His new A Marker to Measure Drift is about a Liberian woman confronting the specters of her past while in a sort of exile on a Greek island.
