This Israeli writer and filmmaker has been producing funny, idiosyncratic stories for some time, but his Suddenly, a Knock on the Door has given him even more of an American audience. These tales, many of which feel like modern fables, echo the tone of Vonnegut's sci-fi shorts, while existing in their own odd and moving realm.
