In The Word on the Street, prolific Irish poet and New Yorker poetry editor Muldoon plays with the idea of lyrical verse. The book collects repetitive, jaunty poems full of references to MacGuffins and CBGB, many of which are actual lyrics to songs performed by Muldoon's band.
