Time Out says

The interviews editor at The Believer is a literary wanderer: She's written fun and darkly philosophical short tales (The Middle Stories), a quirky essay book (The Chairs Are Where the People Go, with Misha Glouberman) and her "novel from life," How Should a Person Be? The latter is a confessional tale that follows the life of a young, divorced playwright called Sheila via transcribed conversations, e-mails and more than a bit of fiction.
