James Bagwell conducts this venerable choral ensemble and the American Symphony Orchestra in two major recent works, both based on Latin American lore, that are each making their New York premieres: Philip Glass's Symphony No. 7 ("Toltec") and Osvaldo Golijov's Oceana, the latter featuring jazz singer Biella Da Costa as soloist.
