The Da Capos showcase works by Pulitzer Prize winner Shulamit Ran, in honor of her 65th birthday. The earliest piece from the composer on the bill is 1977's solo piano essay Hyperbolae, while two works dating from 2011—Moon Songs and A Due—should keep the celebration feeling sufficiently contemporary.
