Just like the marquee says, the Phil's second Summertime Classics program unites Holst's popular symphonic suite The Planets—based as much on mythology as on astronomy, but why split hairs?—with high-definition, NASA-supplied video footage of the cosmos. Bramwell Tovey also conducts John Adams's zippy Short Ride in a Fast Machine and celestial pieces by Offenbach and Johann Strauss Jr.
