Sarah Cahill

This brilliant and charismatic advocate for contemporary composers presents a program in honor of first-generation minimalist Terry Riley. She'll play a clutch of Riley tributes written by a diverse group of composers that includes Samuel Carl Adams, Evan Ziporyn and Pauline Oliveros (who worked next to Riley in the early days of the legendary San Francisco Tape Music Center). And because Cahill is an important commissioner of Riley's late piano works, you should expect to hear some of those, too.
