Patrick Summers conducts the Met's revival of this pastiche from British librettist Jeremy Sams, in which A Midsummer Night’s Dream crashes into The Tempest. The soundtrack, provided by Handel, Vivaldi, Rameau and their contemporaries, gets the royal treatment from Met stars David Daniels, Plácido Domingo, Danielle de Niese and Luca Pisaroni, joined this time by the elegant Susan Graham as Sycorax. Director Phelim McDermott and set designer Julian Crouch provide suitably magical tableaux.
