The Met Chamber Ensemble

James Levine, back in regular action, leads his exceptional Met ensemble in a program of jagged, modernist classics. Tonight you can hear these players in Stravinsky's Octet, Cage's Atlas Eclipticalis, an Ives scherzo and two newer works: Charles Wuorinen's It Happens Like This and the world premiere of The American Sublime by the late Elliott Carter.
