The Reformed Drunkard

The Little Opera Theatre of NY mounts a rare production of a seldom-seen work by the 18th-century master Gluck, written shortly before he started work on his biggest hit, Orfeo ed Euridice. Originally titled L'ivrogne corrigé, the opera is translated into English here by director Philip Shneidman with Ivana Mestrovic; Richard Owen conducts.
