If you need yet more proof that rock & roll will never die (other than our 100 best NYC songs list), here's some—the Glamdammit bash has been around since 2004. That makes the shindig 56 in nightlife years! It must be something about the fist-pumping music that resident spinners Twig the Wonderkid and Michael T dole out, most recently on Saturday, March 3 at Williamsburg's Grand Victory (where these photos were shot). There's always lots of glam, of course (Twig borrowed his musical moniker from Bowie's "Drive-In Saturday") but also plenty of punk—this past edition was subtitled "Whips & Furs," which is the name of an old Vibrators song—and good old, foot-stomping rock. Guests at this most recent installment not only got the chance to wig out, drink cheap beer and whatnot, but were treated to a set by the highly entertaining downtown lounge-lizard-extraordinaire Breedlove.
