The scene: The party-tossers of Let's Play House and Global Frequencies found that when it comes to left-field house and disco, later is better. The two crews joined forces at Williamsburg's IndieScreen for a DJ bill that featured PillowTalk, Runaway, Slow Hands, Soho808 and the headlining duo Tiger & Woods, who made their NYC debut to celebrate a fab new LP of low-slung disco and funk edits, Through the Green. Though the dance floor didn't get really crazy until 1am, the first few rows in front of the DJ setup eventually got down, egging the spinners on with fist pumps and hand claps timed to the thumping bass, while partyers farther back were busy whipping their hair and making good use of every inch of the dance floor. The night's only lament? The pseudoindustrial venue was a touch on the slick side for this sort of all-hours crowd and music.
