The 2014 edition of Montreal’s four-weekend Igloofest dance-music hoedown has come to an end, and though TONY got to experience last year’s installment of the craziest idea for a festival that we’ve ever heard of—midwinter, in Canada, on a pier in the Saint Lawrence River? Sure, why not?—we sadly missed this just-finished throwdown. But we’re apparently in the minority—over 85,000 frosty party people braved the cold this year, 13,000 more than 2013's Igloofest (which was itself a record) . Two main stages, plenty of lubrication (Sapporo was one of this year’s sponsors) and a red-hot lineup that boasted the likes of Art Department, Matthew Dear, Skream, Pete Tong, Claude VonStroke, Scuba, Just Blaze, dOP and Levon Vincent can do that. Above, check out some shots from the fest—and block off a few weekends next winter for the 2015 edition.
