Nurvous, the indie-dance little brother to venerable house-music label Nervous, is back at Cielo. Tonight, Nurvous brings in a great crop of DJs to help celebrate the release of an excellent new album of reworked disco and boogie cuts from the fabled Sam label, Sam Records Extended Play. (Sam was run by the late Sam Weiss, the father of Nervous honcho Michael Weiss.) The night features a set from Todd Terje, a Norwegian remixer and reeditor who drinks from the same well as folks like Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas; he contributed a typically brilliant version of Gary Gang's "Keep on Dancing" to the comp. Manik and the Walker & Royce duo, who are great DJs and producers in their own right, provide backup.
