The U.K.’s Simian Mobile Disco, the duo of James Ford and James Anthony Shaw, is known as master of the hook-stuffed, full-throttle indie-electro realm, but SMD is equally adept at serving up slabs of streamlined, serious-minded techno as well. The recent Unpatterns album skewed toward the latter, but we'd be surprised if the boys didn't let a bit of pop majesty slip into their live set tonight. The Fixed fiesta's JDH and Dave P spin the opening set.
