Subtitled "The Rebirth of Bang" (a reference to the much-missed Bang the Party bash), this shindig features veterans Eman and Bradford James on the ones and twos, spinning house beats ranging from deep to dirty. Tonight's throwdown looks to be epic: It features a deck set from Jazzy Jay, one of the original Bronx hip-hop heros and charter member of the Zulu Nation. (It should be noted that, back when Jay got his start in the late ’70s, hip-hop jocks would play anything that had the funk, including disco and boogie—and probably house, had it been invented.) Blind Faith Collective's DJ Francis spins as well.
