Suzanne Bocanegra

The Danspace fall season opens with Bocanegra's Little Dot. A 12-hour movement installation, the piece draws its score from George Seurat's 1890 painting Young Woman Powdering Herself. Dancers from New York Theatre Ballet, wearing pointe shoes dyed to match the 14 colors of the painting, tap out the points of color. The audience is welcome to come and go throughout the day.
