Yasuko Yokoshi, NYLA's Inaugural Resident Commissioned Artist, presents BELL, a new addition to her ongoing collaboration with Masumi Seyama, who is the successor of Kabuki choreographer Kanjyuro Fujima VI. In BELL, she reimagines one of the most difficult works in the Kabuki canon: Kyoganoko Musume-Dojyoji or "A Woman and a Bell at the Dojoji Temple."
