One look at Porchetta's name and it's clear why it won this title. The East Village spot dedicates itself to one thing only: Central Italy's famed boneless pork, seasoned with fennel pollen and spices, rolled tight and slowly roasted until the meat is cast in a shell of crunchy, brittle skin. Eat the chunks straight up or stuffed into a spongy ciabatta. Either way, it's a religious (or sacrilegious) experience. Porchetta 110 E 7th St between First Ave and Ave A (212-777-2151)
