Q Can you recommend bars that serve good, cheap buffalo wings?—Cory Fortenberry, East Village
A If you’re craving wings, swing by stylish sports lounge Still (192 Third Ave between 17th and 18th Sts, 212-471-9807). This Gramercy spot offers a weekend special of unlimited 25¢ wings (mild, hot and BBQ) paired with $10 pitchers of Bud and Bud Light all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Cheaper skates can head to English-style pub Croxley Ales (28 Ave B between 2nd and 3rd Sts, 212-253-6140) for an even better deal on Mondays and Wednesdays (5pm–1am). Grab a $4 pint of Croxley Blonde (starting at 7pm) and gnaw mild, medium, hot or BBQ wings for merely a dime apiece—but there are rules. The minimum order is 20, and doggie bags are a no-no. The ultimate tummy test, however, happens at Upper West Side jock haven Blondies Sports Bar (212 W 79th St between Amsterdam Ave and Broadway, 212-362-4360). While sporting events flash across the copious TV screens, gear up for Monday’s $13.95 all-you-can-eat wing special (5pm–midnight)—no sharing. The crunchy wings’ heat index runs from mild to “ouch,” which is how your stomach will tell you it’s time to nab a Wet Nap.
