Test out your knowledge of the good book when Miriam chef Rafael Hasid brings a biblically inspired à la carte feast to both outposts of his Brooklyn Israeli eatery. Chow based on Bible passages includes “Ezekiel Bread” (Ezekiel 4:9), bruschette topped with smoky eggplant, and “Jesus’s Fish” (John 21:9–14), grilled whole fish served with pomegranates and tahini. The late Julia Child’s legacy has only grown since her offbeat TV persona mesmerized home cooks. A panel of gourmands converges on the New York Public Library to discuss her career. They include The United States of Arugula author David Kamp; Child biographer Laura Shapiro; and chef Dan Barber (owner, Blue Hill). Food scribe Melanie Rehak will moderate.
