  • Blue Blazer Mugs Cocktailian heavyweight David Wondrich (author of Imbibe! and Punch!) and bar-gear emporium Cocktail Kingdom teamed up to create the ultimate Blue Blazer mugs. The namesake drink is a simple mix of a high-proof spirit and sugar, which is lit on fire and poured between two mugs in a theatrical flaming arch. The curve of the lips on these silver-plated cups is specifically designed for pouring a precise, smooth stream. Still, if your giftee doesn't care to risk singed eyebrows for the sake of a warming tipple, advise them to use these regal heavy-duty pieces to keep drinks hot or cold in style. Available at cocktailkingdom.com. Set of two mugs $74.95.

Kronan Swedish Punsch Over the past few years, boutique importer Haus Alpenz has introduced some of the spirit industry's most unusual artisanal products---Hayman's Old Tom Gin, Crme de Violette and Smith & Cross rum, to name a few. In mid-December, the outfit will debut its latest: a rich, slightly spiced Scandinavian liqueur made from a mix of demerara sugar and two rums---a Jamaican variety and Indonesian Batavia Arrack. Traditionally, the Swedes drink it alongside pea soup, but we like it all on its own. Available starting mid-December at Union Square Wines & Spirits, 140 Fourth Ave at 13th St (212-675-8100). $32.99.

  • Snap Distillery Art in the Age has released this organic, small-batch spirit, inspired by Germany's traditional Christmastime lebkuchen, a puffy oversize ginger cookie. Biting ginger is boosted by a mix of spices, including nutmeg, cinnamon and clove, and balanced with sweet vanilla and blackstrap molasses. Swap it for rum in drinks with a spicy-sweet character, or mix it into a hot toddy for some extra holiday cheer. Available at Astor Wines & Spirits, 399 Lafayette St at E 4th St (212-674-7500). 750ml $33.
