Virage
There's a little bit of the Mediterranean in the weekday brunch at Virage, where a Shakshuka Moroccan Breakfast (eggs with a signature sauce and spices, with tahini and pita on the side; $9.50) beats tired standbys like brioche French toast ($9.50). 118 Second Ave at 7th St (212-253-0425, viragenyc.com). Paris Commune
The revolution will be brunchified, at least if Paris Commune has anything to do with it. Brunch is served every day of the week, and the menu includes the signature gingerbread ($4.50) and a cocktail decadent enough to incite an uprising, the Bloody Louis XVI (Grey Goose and herbs de Provence, served with a prawn, toast points and caviar; $36). 99 Bank St at Greenwich St (212-929-0509, pariscommune.net). Cafe Lalo
The international brunch menu reads like the itinerary for a college backpacking tour: Dutch steamed eggs ($10.50), Irish oatmeal ($5.75), even a Greek goat-cheese breakfast ($9). Brunch ends at 4pm daily, but certain treats are served all the way until the European-themed spot closes in the wee hours of the morning (that's 4am on weekends), including the Belgian waffle ($12) and a Bulgarian spinach torte with feta ($15). 201 W 83rd St between Amsterdam Ave and Broadway (212-496-6031, cafelalo.com). Oak Wine Bar & Café
Squeezed-to-order orange juice ($4) and $3 mimosas are on offer every single day here—it's as if they know that you need vitamin C more than once a week. Bubby's Pie Company
A diverse spread—everything from sour-cream pancakes ($15) to lunchy burgers ($14)—is served well into the night at Tribeca's sunny stalwart. It's an abbreviated but similar menu to the hugely popular (daylight) weekend brunch, served in the midnight hours every day but Monday—because your liver needs a break from spicy Bloody Marys ($10) at some point. 120 Hudson St at North Moore St (212-219-0666, bubbys.com).
