Pioneering beer importer Vanberg & DeWulf is behind this genre-defying hybrid: a dry, tart and bubbly blend of lambic (a style of ale that gets its sour qualities from wild yeast used during fermentation) and kombucha tea. Clocking in at a session-friendly 3.5 percent alcohol by volume, the lively, pinkish brew is ideal for summer sipping, dialing down the alcohol without sacrificing complexity. Available at Whole Foods Bowery Beer Room, 95 E Houston St between Bowery and Chrystie St (212-420-1320). 750ml bottle $11.95.
San Nicasio Patatas Fritas
Spanish snack-maker Rafael del Rosal Lpez harnesses artisanal ingredients for these small-batch potato chips. Thinly sliced spuds are fried on low in Andalusian extra-virgin olive oil until they are golden, crispy and speckled with tiny air bubbles. A light dusting of delicate Himalayan pink salt adds a mineral tang. Available at Blue Apron Foods, 814 Union St between Seventh and Eighth Aves, Park Slope, Brooklyn (718-230-3180). 1.41oz $2.50.
