During the early 20th century, Scandals, Follies and Passing Shows—actual names of popular theater series—dominated the New York stage. These vaudevillian productions are the subject of this exhibition. Displays of scores written by Irving Berlin and George Gershwin, historical documents and sketches of set designs show the trends in musical theater from 1900 to 1938.
