Irina Korina, "Demonstrative Behavior"

Scaramouche , Lower East Side Saturday April 14 2012 12:00 - 18:00

Time Out says

Considered something of a big deal in contemporary Russian art, Korina is only now having her New York debut with this solo show. Although her wildly inventive—some might even say nutty—installational assemblages do suggest an exploration of her country's fortunes since the collapse of the Soviet Union, her work is more abstract and evocative than that of Illya Kabakov, to whom she's been compared.
