Description
Stuart Argabright is a supremely important little-known names in NYC music history. Argabright’s bands include early-’80s legends Ike Yard and Death Comet Crew, two of the most severe groups to pass through the city’s postpunk scene (and they remain as extant as he wants them to be). But it’s the man’s uncompromising artistic sensibility, which cuts across all his projects, that gives him bold-name status in smarter circles. Tonight he debuts a new group, Dystopians—well named for both Argabright’s luminously dark vision as well as for the fact that they’ll be soundtracking Blade Runner tonight, in addition to playing new songs. Have a nice bleak-end!
