East to Edinburgh
Description
This festival celebrates those vigorous American salmon swimming against the powerful current of British work—and into the shoals of the Edinburgh Fringe. The plucky works include: Robert Schneider’s riveting Dirt, a dark monologue of immigrant anger and self-loathing; James Judd’s 7 SINS, a comic look back at the writer-performer’s careering employment history; Austin McCormick and Toby Burns’s The Judgment of Paris, which takes a whack at classical mythology; and Maggie Simpson’s Queen of Wyoming, a humorous account of a Midwestern political campaign. See 59e59.org for a complete schedule.
