On April 20, jam music fans descended on the Theater @ Madison Square Garden for the Jammy Awards, honoring Frank Zappa with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Honorees took home Jammy Awards in seven categories, including Tour of the Year, Live Album of the Year and Archival Album of the Year. Top performers including Blues Traveler, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Guster, Martin Sexton, Peter Frampton, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, DJ Logic and Dweezil Zappa performed new and classic jam tunes to a packed house of music enthusiasts.
The night featured guest appearances from Mickey Hart and Bob Weir, of the Grateful Dead.
