This gorgeous restored 1860s mansion with a wide screened-in porch and flower gardens is worth the trek to eastern Brooklyn. The individually themed rooms at Akwaaba ("welcome," in Ghanaian) are decorated with African artifacts and textiles. A hearty Southern-style breakfast and complimentary afternoon tea are served in the dining room or on the porch.
