Winter in New York City

The Grey
Liam Neeson may have single-handedly mowed down a cadre of Albanian kidnappers in Taken. But has he met his match in this Alaska-set thriller about a plane-crash survivor going head-to-head with a ravenous pack of wolves? (Jan 27)

The Innkeepers
Ti West made one of the more memorable horror films of recent years with 2009's The House of the Devil. So we're especially stoked to see what he does with his follow-up—a chiller set at a haunted hotel. (Feb 3)

The Woman in Black
Daniel Radcliffe tackles his first adult role in this thriller about a young lawyer trapped in an isolated house with a vengeful ghost. No magic wands to save you this time, Mr. Potter. (Feb 3)

Michael
He's just a suburban everyman—who keeps a kidnapped 13-year-old boy locked in his basement. A shocker at Cannes, Austrian director Markus Schleinzer treats this clinical case study of evil (loosely based on the Josef Fritzel case) with formalistic rigor and an unnerving sense of distance. Don't miss. (Feb 15)

Act of Valor
This sounds just ludicrous enough that we have to include it: Actual Navy SEALS, uncredited by name but savvy enough to take on-camera direction, star in this fictional action thriller that sounds fairly Michael Bayish. (Feb 17)
