Ashes of Time Redux

Only nominally a martial-arts saga, this visually sumptuous but utterly baffling film features little action, much less ass-kicking; Wong’s primary interest seems to be in what happens to his heroes during the calm periods between storms. This is the revised cut Wong released in 2008.
