1. Chelsea Classics with Hedda Lettuce
The home of Rocky Horror hosts an entirely different type of dress-up night on Thursdays, when Hedda Lettuce emcees this series of old movies, preceded by trivia, prizes and dirty jokes. Catch Joan Crawford in Mildred Pierce on Thursday 4 and in the sci-fi drama Trog on March 11. 2. 92YTribeca
The 72-seat room minitheater screens a mix that includes classics, cult favorites (like Faster, Pussycat! Kill! 3. Sunshine at Midnight
This theater is already on our good side thanks to its regular docket of alternative films, but the programmers up the ante on weekends, when they screen cult classics like Aliens (Fri 5 and Sat 6) and Lost Highway (March 12 and 13). In the glass atrium of the Winter Garden, you can often peep silent films accompanied by musical ensembles.
