Area landmarks within the stylish ’hood will provide oversize canvases for digital artworks, interactive pieces, performances and outdoor installations during this design fair. Gabriel Barcia-Colombo’s Farm will transform the inside of a shipping container into a diorama depicting city life, with humans taking the place of ants. Head toward the waterfront to see R. Luke Dubois’s Hindsight Is Always 20/20, which fashions the text from former Presidents’ State of the Union addresses into word clouds that look like an eye examination chart. Meanwhile, regular folk can pretend they’ve acquired special powers at Superhero, where onlookers can see their avatars flying and throwing fireballs on the facade of the abandoned Empire Stores building (Main St at Plymouth St).
