“I cannot think of any more. I’m not very aware of many recent animated movies. My first experience of the serious use of animation was Jirí Trnka’s short ‘The Hand (‘Ruka’), which I saw at Central School of Art when I was a student. Also very influential was Norman McLaren’s ‘Begone Dull Care,’ illustrating Oscar Peterson’s music by actually drawing on the film. This was jazz animation!”
