Opened in 2009, the SVA Theatre, an offspring of the School of Visual Arts, was redesigned and refurbished by Milton Glaser and a team of architects and artists. It is a world-class facility, specializing in the projected image, as well as seminars, lectures and other presentations. It hosts numerous events, both private and public, serving the needs of the college and the community at large. The two large auditoriums, the Silas and Beatrice theaters, seat 479 and 266, respectively.
