Cider Week

Sunday October 21 2012 16:00
To celebrate the season of spiked apple spirits, 50 restaurants and retailers around the city will host cider-pairing classes and tap takeovers spotlighting upstate cideries including Bellweather, Bad Seed and Harvest Moon. Be among the first to sample New York’s first urban cidery, Descendant Cider, during a free party at Queens Kickshaw on Oct 24. Throughout the week, stop into shops like PJ Wine and Astor Wine & Spirits for free tastings, Murray’s Cheese Bar for $25 three-course lunches (cheese-and-cider flights, pear-cider sorbet), and pick from prix-fixe menus matched with local and international hard ciders at Marlow & Sons, Gramercy Tavern and the NoMad.
