RECOMMENDED: Full coverage of this year's NYC Restaurant Week

The Gallic rebuttal to NYC Restaurant Week offers $17.89 prix-fixe meals at 25 French eateries around the city. Sample the two-course menu at Benoit (available at the bar), comprising a half-dozen escargots and a charcuterie plate featuring country pâté, rillettes, prosciutto and spicy pork sausage. At Lyon, choose between a truffled haute dog, french fries and a pint of Kronenbourg; or a duo of pâté, french fries and a glass of beaujolais. And down in Tribeca, Plein Sud’s three-course menu (lunch $17.89, dinner $35) includes baked eggplant provençal stuffed with goat cheese, chilled fennel soup, and a frozen nougat parfait with dried fruits, walnuts and orange coulis.
