Brooklyn Waterfront Summer Craft and Specialty Beer Festival
Brewhounds can broaden their horizons for a flat rate at this inaugural sudsfest overlooking the East River: Sample more than 175 varieties from more than 90 breweries, including summer seasonal and limited-release brews from American makers, and new-to-the-U.S. imports such as Italy’s Birrificio Brùton.

The Total Astoria Immersion
You’ll head to Queens for the latest edition of Brooklyn Based’s boozing, shopping and exploration event, which allows you to get to know a new neighborhood through beloved local bars: The first 500 guests to pick up “immersion cards” can redeem them from noon to 6pm for gratis pours of Brooklyn Brewery beers at four bars—including William Hallett and Rapture Lounge —plus additional brunch specials at restaurants and an after-party with $3 pints.

Many of the shows and DJ sets at this Williamsburg arts-and-music venue feature sponsored open bars. On July 21, catch a showcase of some of Brooklyn’s electronic and experimental talent, including Laurel Halo and Noveller (8pm; $10), while you sip on-the-house Asahi beer for the first hour. The monthly Cold Gettin’ Dumb no-cover dance party—with DJs Robert Rhymin’, Bobbi Lupo and J. Rivers on the decks—also offers free booze; the Saturday 9 party kicks off with an hour of free Asahi from 11pm to midnight.

Cielo’s long-running dance party is a great place to booze on the cheap: Doors open at 10pm, and early birds who warm up the floor before 11pm on Mondays are rewarded with free admission (normally $15) and free vodka cocktails (most Mondays, excluding special events).

This Neapolitan spot makes Monday nights a little less bleak: For $21.95 (5–11pm), enjoy 90 minutes of bottomless sangria—a not-too-sweet version made with red, white and moscato wines, a splash of peach nectar and seltzer—plus all-you-can-eat spaghetti and meatballs.
