Nir Arieli, "Inframen"

For his "Inframen" project, local artist Nir Arieli photographed male dancers using an infrared technique designed to highlight and exaggerate the subjects' imperfections (scars, blemishes, stretch marks, etc.). The resulting portraits are hauntingly beautiful, showing the vulnerability and damage that exist beneath the surface of even the most pristine physical specimens.
