Ricky's NYC
Although Ricky's is most often associated with Halloween costumes, the eclectic megastore has a lot more to offer than kitschy and kinky paraphernalia. Its enormous selection of high-end hair-care products and appliances can satisfy any beauty junkie. From Anthony Sport for Men All Over Body Shampoo ($13) and Pre de Provence hand-cut seaweed soap ($5) to Mattese green false lashes ($8)—it's got it all. And the in-house salon is just as comprehensive: Get a cut (starting at $40 for men, $50 for women), a blowout ($30) or a keratin treatment ($225). Equally impressive is the salon's decor: The Soho location features a chandelier made out of hair dryers, station tops made from old speakers, and Ouija boards on the walls. 590 Broadway between W Houston and Prince Sts (212-226-5552, store.rickysnyc.com)

Woodley and Bunny
Enjoy a glass of wine in this sleek, gallery-like store-salon-apothecary hybrid while you browse the boutique for hair-care and beauty products from an international selection of brands such as Sachajuan, Ritual and Korres. To bring the serene vibes back to su casa, pick up Seda France Asian lychee candles ($32 each), a Mama Mio's Deluxe Pampering kit ($65) or Apothia fragrance diffusers ($48 to $78). You can also satisfy your hair needs—including haircuts (starting at $50), colorings (from $85) and eyebrow waxing ($15)—until 9pm Monday through Friday. 196 North 10th St at Driggs Ave, Williamsburg, Brooklyn (718-218-6588, woodleyandbunny.com)

Georgia
The decor at this decadent beauty emporium is an artfully disheveled mix of luxury and decay: The blank walls feature deliberate peeling paint, while the marble-topped brass counters display top-of-the-line products and drugstore necessities so neatly that even OCD shoppers will feel at home. In the back, quirky touches—the words straight and kinky are lit up in neon and used to divide territory by hair texture. Around the corner from this T-shaped alcove, there's a private salon that offers hair conditioning ($35), blowouts ($60) and fusion extensions ($600 and up for a full head), and boasts a very cool heart-shaped shampoo room. They even have a house brand of glamorous staples including hairbrushes, lotions, candles, and silk pillow covers. Whatever you choose to take home will be packaged in the store's signature white-and-gold gift wrap and placed in a box bearing their mission statement: "Be beautiful." 89A E Houston St between Bowery and Elizabeth St (646-827-2428)

Eva Scrivo
The Eva Scrivo salon is a one-stop shop for all your beauty needs. The 5,000-square-foot space houses a beauty boutique, hair salon, patio, and treatment rooms for spa services in the basement. A slice of the luxe life is for sale in the guise of products by Krastase, Shu Uemura, and Bumble and Bumble, along with a variety of styling tools and fashion accessories from Scrivo's own line. Among the massive selection are Turbo Power ceramic professional blow dryers ($280), La Fee De Paris exfoliating facial brushes ($28), Eva Scrivo suede hair bands ($55) and La Roche-Posay sunblock sprays ($50). Hair services include cutting, coloring, styling, extensions, and thermal reconditioning from top stylists who are handpicked and personally trained by Scrivo. 50 Bond St between Bowery and Lafayette St (212-677-7315, evascrivosalon.com)

Chris Chase Salon
At a massive 2,000 square feet, this salon is not your typical hair cutterie. The opulent space is decked out with dramatic deep-plum walls, chic midcentury furniture and a jaw-dropping, dramatic crystal chandelier. Enjoy a glass of wine or champagne and choose from a variety of hair services, including styling (from $60), cuts (from $80), Japanese straightening (from $750) and extensions (from $500). Looking to replicate your new 'do? The secret lies in the products, and the salon swears by Krastase and Shu Uemura—so much so, that it carries the full line of both brands. So stock up on Krastase Ciment Thermique finishing cream ($34), Krastase heat-activated leave-in conditioner (which also doubles as a styling product, $34) or Shu Uemura Full Shimmer Illuminating shampoo ($40). 182 Ninth Ave at 21st St (212-206-7991, chrischasesalon.com)
