Do you have a diet secret?
Drink as much water as you can stand! Water flushes everything out and keeps you lean. The only liquids I drink are water and Gatorade (for the electrolytes).

How often do you work out?
I take five to six dance classes and hit the gym six days a week. I do 40 minutes to an hour of cardio on the treadmill, switching between running and walking every 20 minutes at a 6.6-grade incline—it burns about 400 calories. Then I do 20 minutes of upper body strength training. I don’t need to do my legs. As a dancer, my legs are pretty powerful.

How many times do you eat during the day?

I eat six small, balanced meals throughout the day. I typically eat cereal, eggs or oatmeal for breakfast, cheese and crackers for a snack, and half a peanut butter sandwich and an apple for lunch. Then I’ll have another snack and chicken with vegetables for dinner.
Do you splurge?
I love sweets, especially Baskin-Robbins mint chocolate chip ice cream.

How did you get such great legs?
I’m a yoga brat—when building muscle, it lengthens everything. I’ve also worked my whole life for this. Lean legs are the benefit of lots of dancing. And it doesn’t hurt that my parents are taller than average.

How can the average person get a bodylike yours?
If you look at dancers, we all have the same bodies because we train our legs the same way. If you want to have a dancer’s body, then you have to take dance classes. I recommend starting with ballet.

Do you have a favorite health food?
I drink acai juice, which is made from a berry found in the Amazon. It’s known as a super food since it’s loaded with antioxidants. It’s a magic berry!

What do you do if you want to lose a few pounds?
I cut down on dairy. My energy increases when I don’t eat as much dairy. But it’s hard because I really love cheese!

Do you have a demanding exercise routine?
During the season, I just go to rehearsal. When it’s the off-season I take one or two dance classes per day, five times a week.

Does the city help you stay in shape too?
I live in a fifth floor walk-up, just imagine how many flights of stairs I climb every day!

What’s your exercise routine?
Off-season, I go to the gym five days a week. I hit the treadmill for 30 minutes; either walking on a 15-grade incline or running at a six-grade incline. Then I lift light weights. I also take a dance class—either jazz or ballet—almost every day.

Do you have a diet secret?
I eat everything in moderation. My favorite snack is hummus with pretzels or Kashi 7-Grain crackers. I try to eat healthy, but I’m not going to deprive myself. If I want a slice of Patsy’s pizza (Various locations throughout the city, patsyspizzeriany.com), I’m going to have it!
