Best borough for raising kids: Manhattan
Borough pride is something New Yorkers are passionate about. When Time Out New York ranked the city’s “50 Greatest Rivalries,” Brooklyn vs. Manhattan topped the list (truly. It took the No. 1 slot), and just a couple of days ago we watched two staffers come almost to blows over whether Park Slope is the suburbs as compared with Manhattan, as one alleged. “PARK SLOPE IS NOT THE SUBURBS!!” his adversary countered. But when it comes to raising kids, you’ve cast your votes for Manhattan as the best borough, and with its everything-you-could-ever-want-right-in-your-backyard convenience, we’re apt to agree.
