Is there anything more awesome than watching your tot shake his tush to one of your favorite tunes? Well, picture your fam on a breezy summer day rockin’ out in one of the city’s stellar parks. Extra points if your little one’s grooving to some underrated band you’ve been following for a decade (the kid’s got taste). And you’ve really hit the jackpot if your youngster is an impossible-to-please tween (OMG—she thinks you’ve got taste!). The best thing about these shows is that the usual age categories—three and under, 21 and older, whatever—don’t apply. In fact, while we highlight the best family events at each venue, we’ve also thrown in some more sophisticated fare. So slather on the sunscreen, throw down a blanket, and save us a spot on the lawn.
