The Pottery Barn family has a new sib. Best known for its bland traditional furniture, the company has now introduced Threads, a clothing store exclusively for tots ages newborn to three. Rustic-looking shelves and light fixtures, dark oak floors and a bead-board ceiling give the Upper East Side space the feeling of an ersatz Nantucket boutique (or a PB catalog). Still, we have to admit that the classic striped bodysuits, bunting bags and houndstooth dresses are pretty darn cute. An in-store monogramming station can stitch your babe’s name or initials on just about anything. So while the designs here are hardly one-of-a-kind, you can still walk out with an outfit as singular as your special wee man or little lady.
